Festival of the Winds 2014, Sydney

Popular annual event at Sydney’s Bondi Beach

kite festival, bondi beachAustralia’s largest annual kite flying festival, Festival of the Winds will be held on Sunday, 14 September from 11 am to 4 pm. On that day, colourful giant character kites, fighter, box and delta kites, and kites in a myriad shapes and sizes will fill the skies at Sydney’s most famous beach. Australian and international kite flyers will show off not only their amazing handmade kites, but also their great flying skills.

Besides kite flying there will also be an enjoyable multicultural music and dance program, kite making workshops, multicultural food stalls, kid’s entertainment including rides, face painting, jugglers, stilt walkers, puppeteers, clowns, craft workshops, an art exhibition in the Bondi Pavilion Gallery and much more.

The event promises to be a fun event for families and also for visiting tourists. It is one of Sydney’s much awaited and popular annual event.
